Who can forget Baz Luhrmann's genius -- adapting Shakespeare's tragedy of star-crossed lovers to a modern (well, back in 1996, it WAS modern) setting? The guns, the feuding Catholic families, the tattooed priest, the drugs and big parties? Leonardo DiCaprio wailing upon hearing of Juliet's death? I've always hated Claire Danes, not only because of her bland acting, but also because she was cast alongside Leo in one of the most memorable films of the mid-90s. ehhehe.

This is one of those fan-tribute videos from youtube with the music from Des'ree's Kissing You. Up to now, watching R+J still renders me teary-eyed.

After all, everyone's got a Romeo + Juliet story to tell, at one point or another, right?
